OFICINA INICIAÇÃO AO TOUCHDESIGNER

A oficina proposta é dirigida pelo artista, e tem como foco a ferramenta tecnológica principal para a execução de obras audiovisuais em tempo real, a linguagem de programação visual TouchDesigner.

Tem como objectivo dar a conhecer, no âmbito da iniciação, as bases da utilização dessa linguagem em contexto de criação artística audiovisual.
 

O público alvo da oficina são todos os interessados em iniciar um processo de aprendizagem da linguagem TouchDesigner com o objectivo de utilizar a mesma nos seus próprios trabalhos e estudos artísticos. Idealmente, idades entre os 18 e os 45.
 

A oficina será de carácter prático, e terá a ambição de apresentar no final algum resultado laboratorial que se tenha atingido durante o processo de aprendizagem.
 

O ideal será os participantes, previamente irem à oficina, familiarizarem-se minimamente com o software TouchDesigner. Para isso, devem seguir os seguintes passos:

• Instalar o software com uma licença de livre utilização para fins educativos, fornecida sem custos pela Derivative em www.derivative.ca
• Seguir os tutoriais base de apresentação do software disponíveis em http://www.derivative.ca/wiki088/index.php?title=Category:Tutorials , nomeadamente “First Things to Know about TouchDesigner” e a secção “Basics Tutorials”
• Ler o livro “An Introduction to TouchDesigner” disponível gratuitamente aqui, http://book.nvoid.com/#book
 

A oficina terá a duração de 3 dias, com sessões de 4 horas cada dia.

 

Os participantes devem trazer laptop próprio com o TouchDesigner previamente instalado.

TOUCHDESIGNER INITIATION WORKSHOP

This workshop is directed by the artist, and focuses on the main technological tool for the implementation of audiovisual works in real time, visual programming language TouchDesigner. It aims to give the basic level of this language in audiovisual artistic creation context.

The workshop target audience is everyone interested in starting a learning process of TouchDesigner with the aim of using it in their own work and artistic studies, ages 18 to 45.

The workshop will be practical, strongly focused on a laboratorial approach.

Ideally, participants will familiarize with the TouchDesigner software UI before the workshop (optional but highly recommended).

For this, they must follow the following steps:

- Install the software with a license-free use for educational purposes, provided free charge by the Derivative in www.derivative.ca

- Follow the software presentation based tutorials available at http://derivative.ca/wiki099/index.php?title=Category:Tutorials , including "First Things to Know about TouchDesigner" and the "Basics Tutorials"

- Read the book "An Introduction to TouchDesigner" available free here, http://book.nvoid.com/#book

 

The workshop will last for 3 days with 4-hour sessions each day.

Participants must bring own laptop with preinstalled TouchDesigner.
